Third Eye Mirror Meditation
Doing something a little bit different today. This is a short little active meditation called a third eye mirror meditation.
This meditation takes as long as you wish for it to take. The purpose of this third eye meditation is to help jumpstart goals and affirmations. By focusing on the third eye you’ll show yourself that you are working towards change.
- A mirror
- Soothing music (optional)
What you do:
Stand/sit/lay down by/hold a mirror. Follow your breathing to create calm. You can count breaths, focus on the flow of breath, however you want to create calm and become centered in the moment.
When you’re ready, physically look at your third eye space through the mirror (use soft focus, don’t force yourself to stare, be comfortable with this).
While looking into your third eye, notice how you feel. Does your forehead feel tingly? Cold? Warm? Exposed? Open? Next, imagine that your third eye is a physical eye staring back at you. Allow it to open slowly. Notice the color, shape, size. Notice if you feel any different sensations throughout the rest of your body.
Your third eye is now open and you’re ready to start working on goals and desires with the added boost of third eye energy.
Next affirm to yourself for as long as you wish (you can use these or create your own for whatever you are working on achieving):
- I am comfortable being me.
- Being intuitive is a blessing.
- I am. I love. I am love. I am loved.
- I am surrounded by love and light.
- I am exactly where I am suppose to be at this moment in time.
When you’re ready to come out of the meditation continue watching your third eye, but start to imagine it closing. When you’re ready to start moving, you can stretch slowly to come back to your body, then go about your day.
Do this meditation for a week and see what happens! It’s useful for self love, achieving goals, strengthening will power, etc. Whatever you can come up with, this meditation method will help!
